At its August meeting, Ministry Council endorsed in concept the idea of placing a large cross (32 feet tall) on the Haas Farm property along Junction Road. We already have offers of donated materials and labor for much of what would be required to make this idea a reality. Our Commission on Physical Properties is weighing options about exactly where such a cross would be placed and how we might best make this a welcoming landmark for visitors and residents of our community who travel Junction Road.
Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

As reported last week, our parking lot project is nearing completion. Problem areas are being identified and plans are being made to address them. A decision will be made next month about when it will be most advantageous to lay the final layer of asphalt.
Since the final cost is still to be determined, we cannot say precisely how much money is still needed to pay for our new lot. To date we have received gifts and pledges of approximately $350,000. We anticipate needing an additional $60,000 - $70,000.
As always, the generous support of our members is greatly appreciated.
