Project 12 Baskets - by Administrator Account

Do you have items in your house which you are not using? Could the space those items are in be put to better use? If you do, we are offering a suggestion which may be beneficial to you personally as well as to the ministry of our church, St. Lorenz.

Project 12 Baskets assists churches in turning leftovers into dollars to use for ministry. Through the use of the internet, Project 12 Baskets takes items donated to the church and sells them on e-bay or other auction sites. Project 12 Baskets gets paid a transaction fee only when items are sold with close to 70% of the net proceeds coming directly to St. Lorenz. The funds raised are sent to St. Lorenz for whichever project the donor identifies.

How can you help? Take some time to look at the abundance of items you have which you are not using. These items may be in your garage, attic, basement, or collecting dust on shelves. Determine if there are items you are willing to donate to St. Lorenz.

On the back of the attached flyer describing Project 12 Baskets is a Donation Registration form. Fill out the form and attach it to the item you are donating. Bring the donation and the attached form to our church receptionist.

If you have larger items to donate that would be difficult to be picked up, delivered, or shipped, bring the Donation Registration form to our church receptionist. Project 12 Baskets will make arrangements to get a picture of the item and list it for auction. The buyer would then pick up the item following the receipt of the payment.

You will receive a thank you as confirmation of your donation via e-mail or regular mail. You will also be sent a receipt following the sale of your item. If you desire, you can go to the Project 12 Baskets website, www.project12baskets.com, to see what items are being auctioned and watch the status of your gifts.

St. Lorenz has the following projects listed with Projected 12 Baskets:

Student Aid – Gifts will be used to assist students, who are members of St. Lorenz, attending universities and seminaries of the LCMS in preparation for professional church work.
Communications – Donations will be used to share our mission & ministry with our members and the community through radio and television broadcasts.
Church Parking Lot – Our parking lot is in need of new asphalt and improved lighting.
The Future is Now – Donations will be forwarded to the Michigan District – LCMS to be used for development of new mission congregations & awarding of scholarships to students choosing to become professional church workers.
Technology – The use of technology improves and enhances instruction in our school. Donations will be used to replace computers and purchase projectors.

We are asking for your support in donating items, which you are not using, for one of the projects mentioned. You can check out the current Hot Sellers List on the Project 12 Baskets website. If you have questions about this campaign or whether certain items can be donated, please contact Mrs. Christine Maurer at 989-652-6141 ext. 157 or e-mail .
