Spelling: The spelling list is a review of some of the words from the last five lists. The test will be on Friday over these review words:

Discovery Sharing: This week’s Discovery Sharing is linked to our studies of the Earth’s landforms and bodies of water. Students are encouraged to bring a picture from any source that shows a type of landform (plain, hill, mountain, etc.) or water (river, ocean, lake, etc.). We’re hoping to make a display for our bulletin board.

Book It! Students who attained their “Book It!” goal for December should turn in their log sheets to me this week. Reading logs for the month of January are available for anyone who wants to participate.
 
Chapel Offerings: January chapel offerings are designated for Lutherans for Life.

Holiday Church Attendance: If I didn’t receive the church attendance recording sheet from your child this morning (a buff-colored sheet with stars to color), I’ve attached a replacement to the blue newsletter. It would be helpful for me to have everyone’s sheets tomorrow, even if you were unable to attend. Thanks!

January Dates: Friday, January 16: End of semester. Report cards will be distributed on the 23rd.
                            Monday, January 19: No classes due to professional church worker conference.
                            Sunday, January 25: First graders sing at the 11:00 worship service at church.
