I would like each child to bring in a seed collection. Your child may use the egg carton and papers in the plastic bag to create the seed display which I will send home on Monday. The yellow label papers should be attached to the inside of the lid. Please attach the seeds in the egg carton as the seeds often moved in the carton. Also, each child should complete the other yellow sheet. The seed displays may be brought to school any time before Monday, October 20.

Miss Krenz Note
We have been working hard to learn a new letter sound each day. These sounds should be practice daily and the decodable books are there to help. About 10 to 20 minutes each night should be spent practicing reading skills. These 10 to 20 minutes do not need to take place all at one time. A suggest for this time is to read the new book for the day once when your child gets home from school and then another time after supper. The rest of the time can be spent reading previous books. A question often asked is do all the boxes need to be filled up on the recording sheet. The answer is no but it depends on the child. Each child is different and if your child can read it fluently only pull it out occasionally. Next week, we will start a new bag of books. The old bag of books no longer needs to come to school after Tuesday, October 7. If you have more questions about your child’s reading feel free to stop by school.
God’s Blessings and enjoy the fall weekend.
