Have you seen the cards for Emily yet? In last week's memo it was explained that the students at St. Lorenz worked together on a project in honor of their fellow student, Emily Long, and her father, Dan Long. Emily and Dan were killed in a car accident last March on their way to school.
Every week we learn about a new letter of the Alphabet. On Monday we read a book about the letter and are introduced to the sound the letter makes. We find the letter in the alphabet, compare the capital letter to the lower case letter, and we think of words that begin with that letter.
On Wednesday, we all bring items to school that begin with the letter of the week. It is fun to try to guess what everyone has brought!
On Friday, we practice writing the letter.
It is fun to learn about letters!
If you are a parent of young children, come join us as we learn how to constructively nurture our children through the video based series, “Parenting the Early Years” by Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott (as seen on Oprah and Focus on the Family). The series introduces us to ten biblical traits your kids will remember you for!! Classes will be held on November 9, December 14, January 11, February 8, and March 8. Babysitting is available. If you have any questions, you can call Kay List. All are welcome!
