Bugs, Bugs, Bugs! We have been having a great time learning about insects. Did you know that they usually have 3 body parts, 6 legs, and wings? We could actually see the parts of a dragonfly under a magnifying glass. We have played bug games, made butterflies, and made a ladybug mask. We ended our unit on insects by going on a bug hunt.
Every week we learn about a new letter of the Alphabet. On Monday we read a book about the letter and are introduced to the sound the letter makes. We find the letter in the alphabet, compare the capital letter to the lower case letter, and we think of words that begin with that letter.
On Wednesday, we all bring items to school that begin with the letter of the week. It is fun to try to guess what everyone has brought!
On Friday, we practice writing the letter.
It is fun to learn about letters!
